Chinatown Sportswear
Chinatown Sportswear (CSNY) is an art project conceived in 2017 to celebrate the New York Chinatown neighbourhood. Given the recent and continued gentrification of the area, along with the attempted erasure of Chinatown’s cultural contribution to the city, CSNY focuses on the rich and diverse immigrant and Asian-American experience. Exploring Chinatown’s history and culture through an accessible lens of streetwear, CSNY invites those from all backgrounds to partake in what Chinatown has to offer.
